Nova information
- Nova's are the Alfa of their sign.- Nova's have a special kind of power who makes them the only one who can create new Astrakins.- You can spot a Nova by their larger crown shaped crystal on their head and their bigger butterfly like crystal wings.- Nova's make sure everyone has their purpose in the group and are the overall leaders of their sign.- Nova's their powers are stronger than the star's powers. They can use it longer and with a bigger impact.- Nova's are the only ones who are able to Astral Project. This has to do with the connection they have with the moon.- There can only be Two Nova's per sign. Whenever a Nova dies or retires, they can pass on their title to one of the star's of their sign.

Lore
The night was calm, birds chirping among the treeline surrounding the mountain range, the peaks reached up high into the clouds above, carving through the soft white blanket spread across the sky. A soft light emitting down, cast by the moon herself. Another soft light appeared, brighter than the stars as it grew brighter and came closer. Soon crashing into the mountain range below, shattering into dozens of small fragments, all gems slightly altered colors then the others. As the rock impacted the wildlife scattered until the air settled again. A few curious crows and small mammals took interest in the sight. Some simply came to investigate, others took some of the shattered gems to bring them to their nests or even take them around the world as they migrated to warmer climates. A few dozen of these gems would succumb to an unusual fate, the next full moon the stones would emit a soft glow, pulling in any of the moon’s light surrounding them. Leaving a few patches of the world in complete darkness. Once the gems had turned as white as the moon’s light itself a pulse could be felt. The compacted gems opening up into creatures unlike the world had ever seen before, majestic beasts curious to explore this new life they had been given. They are now who we call the Nova’s, or so the legend goes.The Nova's were scattered around the world, but a strong connection could be felt by the Nova's and this certain place. They travel the earth to all come together at this place. It turned out to be a cave filled with fragments of the quartz that had been part of the comet they were created from. Only this quartz had not enough power to create life out off. It was full moon for the Taurus sign as the crystals on the Astrakins head get charged by moonlite, it was the strongest with a full moon. Solar, the Nova of the Taurus felt this overwhelming power inside her. She closed her eyes as she stood near the clear quartz in the cave and rediated her power in the crystal in front of her. Creating the first star Astrakin.
Crystal cave
All Astrakin are cut from the same cloth, their behaviors are consistent across all tribes yet every sign element has their own unique ways of living.Every full moon all Astrakin gather at the cave, created by the meteorite impact that gave their species life, to honor those who came before them. No matter their signs, while at this beacon of serenity they’re all one and the same. During this night they meditate, holding onto one another with their tails for both comfort and stability. They peacefully wait as the moon shines upon them and recharges their energy, though this ritual also has a somber side, some elders wish for their last moments to be spent with the others. As all tribes get ready to leave, they’ll stay behind. Laying down in the cave, falling asleep one last time as they return to the state they once were born from, a colorless quartz crystal. The gems wait until the next full moon when a Nova may take that gem and create new life, but only if the stars align to paint their sign in the sky.
Diet
Astrakins live off the land they inhabit and stay away from large prey. Feeding off local vegetation and small animals at times. Diets vary greatly between tribes but no tribe suffers from their diet.The fire signs live in more arid climates and can often be found snacking on cacti or small bugs if the situation calls for it.The Water signs live near bodies of water, often found paddling around for a swim or drying off near the water's edge, for their diet sea dwellers, small shellfish or even kelp always clench their appetites.The Air signs live high up in the mountains, scaling steep cliffs with ease much like goats would. They’ve become experts at spotting patches of vegetation and finding small bugs to snack on every now and again.The Earth signs live among the trees and rocky terrain though they don’t stray as far up as the Air signs do. They love any kind of fruit or mushroom they can get their paws on, the young ones can even be found playing with wildlife from time to time.
Classes
In every tribe the Astrakin are divided by their tasks to keep the tribe up and running, these tasks often correlate with their magical abilities.Every tribe has one or more Healers, their job is to make sure no one in their tribe stays hurt or sick for long periods of time. Their powers allow them to heal wounds and illnesses caused by normal daily activity though they’re no strangers to using herbs or other materials to sooth pain or help the healing process along.Protectors often stay in close contact with the Healers, their task is to make sure nothing with ill intent can hurt the tribe. They often make small laps around their sleeping areas or accompany Foragers looking for food. They can turn invisible to spy on possible intruders or stay hidden until their help is needed.Foragers gather food for the tribe as well as other materials they might need, they can teleport to hard to reach food or substances. Even using this ability to snag fruits that would otherwise spell certain death would they get caught by a venus flytrap like plant holding the most delicious fruits.Lastly there are caretakers, these Astrakins make sure everything runs smoothly among the other Astrakin. They’re often the first at the scene with disputes or arguments. Using their magic of emotional influence they can defuse the situations with relative ease or comfort the wounded and sad, they’re also no stranger to making sure everyone feels included in the tribe, even when they’re having a bad day.
Important info
Astrakins are genderless. They can however go by any pronouns they prefer.When a Astrakin dies, they go to the quartz cave and find a spot. They lose their color and slowly turn into a white piece of quartz that grows to later be re-purposed to create new life.Astrakins have a crystal on their shoulders that can summon crystal wings. These wings are not for flying. They are used for gliding if they need to travel from steep locations.Astrakins can use their antennae as a nightlight in the dark to find their way, altho they have night vision, sometimes it might come in handy. They will also communicate with the antennae on their head. Moving them, signing to other Astrakins.They are nocturnal. Meaning that they are most active at night.Their crystals glow when they meditate, because of the full moon its moonlight. Guidelines
- Nova’s can’t be made. You can only acquire one from a open slot from Eclipticarz or bought as adopted only by Eclipticartz or Zarche_draws.- You may choose your own crystal, but it’s encouraged to choose one of the crystals of your zodiac crystal chart. The Crystal you choose must match their class and power listed.- The crystal you choose is the color/sort of crystal you use for your head, shoulder and tail crystal. Also the Crystal gemstone in the crest is the same as your chosen Crystal.- Only one power can be owned by a Star Astrakin, listed with their sign and crystal.- Crest can't be removed form tail. They show which sign your Astrakin belongs to.- Your Astrakin must match the lore.- You can't mix and match a class and crystal. Their power & class are matched with one crystal per sign already, listed on the create your astrakin page.- While it's okay to give your own creative spin to your Astrakin, try to create them within the spirit of the species' lore and themes.- If you are not sure if something is allowed or something is confusing, message Eclipticartz for Questions!

The corrupted
You’re here. You found it. So that means you saw them too right? Four glowing gaping eyes in the night. No pupils. Just a void. Their crystals- broken.I call them the corrupted. They look like Astrakins, but they are- different. Something is wrong.I’m using this secret page as a journal. Trying to figure out what they are. How they became this way. Will you help me? Before it gets out of hand. I’ve only seen one so far. But what if there are more? What are they capable of?I have so many questions, but I’m hoping to answer them all, the more I observe them.Hopefully they won’t see me. I know Astrakins are known to be quite nice. But these- these aren’t normal.Will you come back to check in once in a while? Perhaps I will have new information about them.
Journal entry August 29th 2023
If you’re reading this, it means you found my journal entry.I’ve been talking to some farmers nearby, since there are rumors of their sheep and chickens getting killed.They told me they had never seen anything like this. They have had a wolf or a fox, eat their animals. But in those cases the animals just disappeared. Some feathers and perhaps some blood left on the ‘crime scene’. But nothing like this.I was allowed to take a look myself and I instantly knew- it must have been them.The poor animals were killed by a single piercing strike through their head. No drop of blood in their body left. Their corpse just left in their enclosure, with all the flesh still on their bones. No other scratch to be found on their body. Everything is still perfectly intact, except their blood is gone. Absolutely abnormal for a predator to leave their prey all intact. But how were they all drained of their blood? And why?I need to know if it was them. I will be using this information to try and track them down and learn more about them.Perhaps I can catch one on camera next time.Please look out for my other journal entries in the near future. And keep your eyes open! Perhaps there might be one lurking close by.
